Dr. Powless has over 20 years of experience working with children and adults with mental, physical and developmental challenges. He is very patient, gentle, and genuinely cares about his patients.
Dr. Powless and his staff are fully trained to care for these individuals who may have difficulty receiving dental treatment in a traditional environment.
We are equipped and qualified to offer oral sedation or IV sedation (twilight sleep) in the office. If the patient’s medical, dental or behavioral condition dictates, Dr. Powless is on the staff of Tampa General Hospital and can treat the patient in the hospital with the benefit of general anesthesia.
Dr. Powless is also registered with Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) as a dentist for the Medicaid Waiver program as well as patients that receive benefits through the Consumer Directed Care (CDC) program.
